The Lost Seas
The Urikite noble family Lubar’s fingers are in every pie in Urik, with interests in the obsidian mines of Makla, the gladiators in the Pit of Black Death, the fields outside the city walls, and more. The double-headed serpent of Lubar flies from many flagpoles, and is tattooed on the faces of many specialty slaves. Famously, Rikus was born into slavery in the Lubar stables, and spent his youth fighting in the Lubar pits before being sold to the Mericles family of Tyr.
When Urik attacked Tyr in the Year of the Wind’s Reverence, the family’s scion, Maetan, volunteered to command one of the Urikite armies, bolstering it with a thousand slave troops. The Lubar-commanded army was destroyed by the Crimson Legion after coaxing the slave troops to desert Maetan en masse, and the remnants of the army were pursued to the dwarven village of Kled, where they attempted a last stand by taking the innocent dwarves hostage. That, too, failed, as the Crimson Legion (including the Zatla Cowboys) defeated Maetan and crushed the rest of the Urikite troops.
